AL-Basar Eye Clinic (formally An-Nur Eye Centre) is a professionally-run eye care facility with over 19 years of experience. We offer medical, optical, surgical and preventive eye care services to adults. We are also sub-specialized in Paediatric Ophthalmology as well as strabismus (Squint) management for both children and adults.

Since its inception, under the stewardship of our principal consultant, Dr Halima L. Alimi, AL-Basar Eye Clinic (formally An-Nur Eye Centre) has rendered high-quality professional Ophthalmic and Optical services with the management of eye diseases including but not limited to cataracts, glaucoma, eye infections and inflammatory conditions and screening for retinopathy from conditions like hypertension, diabetes and sickle cell disease.

In our drive to offer more specialized services, we have in the last one year, included much-needed Paediatric Ophthalmology services including management of cataracts, refractive errors with amblyopia, nystagmus and squints in children.

Dr. Halima Alimi has been a medical practitioner for over 3 decades and has practiced Ophthalmology as a Consultant for 2 decades and counting.

As Medical Director of AL-Basar Eye Clinic (formally An-Nur Eye Centre) located in Surulere, she has catered to thousands of patients, giving high-quality ophthalmic care. Having completed a Fellowship in the subspecialty of Paediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus in 2019, she broadened surgical and specialized optic services to include paediatric pathologies such as Cataracts, Squints and other pathologies.

Her mission is to add value to people through top-notch eye care with empathy and respect for every client, she pays great attention to fine detail and is dogged about getting excellent therapeutic outcomes. She runs AL-Basar Eye Clinic (formally An-Nur Eye Centre) as a patient-focused, service-oriented practice which has led to a high rate of referrals over the years.
